Privacy Policy
Last updated July 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Lefty Software LLC d/b/a Stringing Biz (“Stringing Biz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use stringingbiz.com and the related software and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who this Policy covers
The Service is a multi-tenant platform for tennis stringing businesses (“Shops”). This Policy describes our practices as the operator of the platform. Each Shop independently controls the information it enters about its own customers and is responsible for its own privacy practices. For that Shop-entered information, we act as a service provider (processor) on the Shop’s behalf, and the Shop’s own privacy notice governs how that Shop uses it.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us in plain text).
- Shop and business information. Your business name, contact details, address, sales-tax settings, inventory, jobs, invoices, and similar operational data you enter.
- Customer data you enter. Information Shops record about their own customers and equipment (for example, names, contact details, rackets, and stringing history). We process this on the Shop’s behalf.
- Payment information. Online card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers. We receive limited, non-sensitive transaction metadata (such as amount, status, and a payment reference) to reconcile invoices.
- Technical and usage data. IP address, device and browser information, log data, and cookies or similar technologies used to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To create and manage accounts and Shops, and to route payments through Stripe;
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates;
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. How we share information
- Payment processing. We share transaction information with Stripe, which processes payments and account onboarding. Stripe’s handling of personal and payment data is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Service providers. We use third parties for hosting, infrastructure, and email delivery, who process information only to provide services to us and under confidentiality obligations.
- Shops. Information you provide to a Shop is available to that Shop.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers. Information may be transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep your session secure, and remember basic preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account or Shop is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When a Shop or account is deleted, associated data is removed or de-identified within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. For information a Shop controls, please contact that Shop directly. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
We operate in the United States, and information we process is stored and handled there. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
